Challenges Ahead for CSA

With important games approaching, the coach’s resignation creates a big hole in South Africa’s coaching staff:

  • The team of SA is currently playing their second test against SL in Gqeberha.
  • A multi-format series is also planned against PK, which has three T20Is, three ODIs, and two tests with SA in full form starting on 10th December 2024.
  • SA currently sits second on the ICC WTC points table and is also expected to be a final contender at Lord’s in 2025.

Given the tight schedule, appointing a full-time batting coach before the Pakistan series seems unlikely. CSA might have to rely on interim arrangements for the upcoming matches.
